A gentle reminder to curate your online spaces. There are functionally infinite people/topics/calls-to-action online. You, on the other hand, are not infinite, not your time nor your memory nor your energy. Gather what really matters to you. Actively remove the rest.
You don't owe everyone a say. You don't owe everyone your attention. Your spaces are yours. It isn't selfish to seek the content you want. Resist the urge to let the internet wash over you. Strive to create an environment that honors your core right to feel safe and happy.
There are, of course, times when you will want to seek out challenging ideas, to learn and grow. Yet, it's okay to set up your online space as a calm, hollow tree refuge from which you may choose to venture out into more difficult landscapes. But first, build your shelter.
